Yarn group D is DROPS's label for chunky weight yarn, called chunky, bulky in US patterns. Group D yarns knit to about 12–15 stitches per 10 cm in stocking stitch, so any yarn below can usually replace another in a pattern written for group D. Always knit a tension swatch first.
