Yarn group A is DROPS's label for 4 ply, 3 ply, baby weight yarn, called fingering, sport in US patterns. Group A yarns knit to about 23–26 stitches per 10 cm in stocking stitch, so any yarn below can usually replace another in a pattern written for group A. Always knit a tension swatch first.
