About This Archive

Purple Sheep Yarns Ltd was a UK-based online yarn shop trading at purplesheepyarns.co.uk, selling DROPS-brand yarns, knitting needles, crochet hooks, buttons and haberdashery, alongside a large library of free downloadable DROPS knitting and crochet patterns.

The shop has since closed and the domain lapsed. This site is a read-only content archive: it preserves the free pattern pages, yarn reference pages and product information that were publicly available on the original site, recovered from the Internet Archive's Wayback Machine. It is run independently of the original business.

What still works here

• All of the free DROPS pattern pages — each links straight through to the pattern download on garnstudio.com, the DROPS Design website, where the patterns are still hosted for free.
• The yarn, needle, hook, button and book reference pages, kept for anyone identifying an old colourway, model number or product they bought here previously.

What no longer works

There is no shop, basket, checkout or account system on this site — Purple Sheep Yarns is not trading and nothing here can be purchased. Historic prices have been removed from preserved pages so nothing on this archive reads as a live offer for sale.
