Drops Alpaca Bouclé is a lovely blend of soft alpaca and wool in an aran weight yarn. The wool fibre is untreated and so is free from any chemical treatment before it is dyed. This highlights the wool’s natural properties and gives the yarn and your work a better quality shape and texture. There is also a touch of nylon in the blend to add strength.
“Bouclé” is the French word for a loop and this yarn has lots of small loops which are spun from pure Alpaca and which give it its characteristic look. The finished effect is soft, light and fluffy and is great for garments, elegant edges and accessories alike.
DROPS Alpaca Boucle includes some mixed colours. Mixed colours are created by carding the colours together before spinning, which gives a mixed effect. We stock every colour in the Drops Alpaca Boucle range. If Drops have the colour, we stock it!
