Big Merino is ideal for structured patterns such as ribs or cables as they turn out very neat and even. It is also very soft.

It is machine washable which means it’s fine for everyday use. So you can have a little luxury every day!

A soft, 100% Merino wool in an aran weight.

DROPS Big Merino is spun from 100% merino wool fibres from free-range animals in South Africa and South America.

The main characteristics of Drops Big Merino are the softness, volume, elasticity and an even result, which makes it ideal for knitting structured patterns such as cables or ribs. The yarn is also superwash treated and therefore machine washable and suitable for everyday use.

Drops Big Merino is spun from multiple thin strands, which gives the yarn extra elasticity. Extra elasticity means it is especially important to check your tension. It should be tighter rather than looser.

We also recommend you do not wash your garment or project too warm, never leave it to soak and let it dry flat.

We stock every colour in the Drops Big Merino range. If Drops have the colour, we stock it!
